Clear a Path

My neighbor pulled in her driveway as I was shoveling the grass. She probably thought I was weird and might have recorded the strange occurrence.

When my husband came home, he thanked me for shoveling the sidewalk.

“I gotta ask. Why did you shovel the grass?”

“Because that’s where the mailman walks. He leaves our porch and cuts through the front yard to our neighbor’s. It’s closer”.

I told him I did the same at our rental house.

If you can make something easier for someone, do it. I made the path in little time with little effort.

As cars slowly pass the house, I feel judging eyes. It makes me laugh. Sometimes, kindness is odd. That’s a chance I’ll take.

I wish you the best.
